News and Updates
News an updates pertaining to any of Chris’ trials.
Thursday August 22, 2013 As you all know, David Allen provided us with new evidence that proves Chris’ innocence. We have been waiting for a ruling from the court ever since. Three weeks ago, the court issued two orders. One was telling the prison to place Chris in solitary confinement claiming his motion was frivolous, when in fact, he was simply doing what the court rules specify. In other words, Chris was right, but they didn’t want to grant it. The second order denied Chris’ motion where David Allen proved Chris’ innocence. They basically said that, even though this proves he is innocent, Chris should have read David’s mind to know what David knew. They denied it because it was not filed in time. They also said that Chris can no longer represent himself in court, he has to have an attorney. What this all comes down to is this: everyone, including the court and state attorneys, knows Chris is innocent. But they can’t release him on his self-represented motions. Think of it as a business. If everyone knew how easy it was to fix your car-- for example push a reset button, would we pay thousands of dollars and have a mechanic fix it? And that’s what this is. Chris was an average man who went to prison, studied law, and pointed out the court and attorneys errors. So if they grant Chris’ motions, they’ll be saying Chris is right, they were wrong, and any average person can represent themselves, study law, and win, excluding the need to pay attorneys $50,000, 75,000, or even $100,000, or more to represent them. |
This is not justice. This is very wrong. And we plan on fighting this through The Foundation for Truth and Justice. But for now we need to get Chris an attorney. He has motions which have to be filed in a timely manner, so time is of the essence. We need donations or personal loans for Chris’ legal expenses ASAP. Chris’ aunt, Mary Ellen Ditto has remained on board as the treasurer for both Project Free Christopher Wood, and the Foundation for Truth and Justice of Florida. For the time being, her PayPal account will be used to collect the necessary funds. We are asking everyone to donate or even personally loan some amount of money, even if it is $1.00, it will all add up to Chris’ freedom. No Donation Is Too Small Donations can be made at www.PayPal Then Enter [email protected] Follow the remaining prompts, to donate or loan money. If you prefer to personally loan money for the cause, simply email us your name, email address, amount loaned and transaction number. We will email you confirmation of the loan and your money will be reimbursed to you, interest-free, after Chris is released from prison. United
